About Rinku Bhattacharya
My name is Rinku Bhattacharya., I am the cook and voice behind Spice Chronicles. I am a native of Kolkata, India, and now call New York home. A trained financial professional, I find solace and passion through cooking. I started this site several years ago to offer me inspiration to share my family meals. Over the years, this has become the inspiration for my classes. Spice Chronicles is my food centric journey accented with memories, fresh ingredients, and spices.
I am the author of three cookbooks, The Bengali Five Spice Chronicles, Instant Indian and Spices and Seasons.
I have been teaching and writing about food for over 20 years. My recipes mesh seasonal produce with fresh spices. I will with different flavors to create practical recipes that are wholesome and flavorful.
The photography and the recipes on this site are all my own. If you have one of my cookbooks, please consider leaving a review.
I am the mother of two wonderful children, and I live with my family in Westchester County, NY.
